      Operated by the North American Development Bank (NADB), this fund facilitates financing for the development, execution and operation of environmental infrastructure projects in the U.S.-Mexico border region by combining grant funds with loans or guaranties for projects that would otherwise be financially unfeasible.

Under the authority of the Rural Electrification Act of 1936, RUS makes direct loans and loan guarantees to electric utilities to serve customers in rural areas.
